Here are some free images you can use for desktop background (“wallpaper”). All are copyrighted, and are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. They contain no advertising, but they do include a title block and copyright notice. To view an image full-size, left-click on a size link (such as 800 x 600). The image will open in a new window (requires Javascript).
To save as desktop background, right click in the full-size image, and select the appropriate item from the Context Menu. In Internet Explorer, for example, click on “Set as Background.” To save the image without opening it first, right-click on a size link, select “save target as . . .” and save to the appropriate folder for your operating system.
