How to order

Ordering is easy. Use one of the links provided to get an order form to send in with your picture. There is an interactive PDF form you can fill out online, then print. I’ve also provided a simple graphic form you can print and fill out with a pen (remember those?) Please include a separate form for each picture. Provide as much information as possible, since missing or incomplete information may cause delay of the restoration. It may be helpful to send along a good-quality machine copy, or a sketch, with notations of any special cropping, repair, background alteration, or other details. You should also keep an identically-marked copy for your reference, in case I have questions about the work you request. Do not mark on the original, except to print your name and address, in soft pencil, along one edge on the back of the picture, if you wish to do so. One further note: be sure you understand your responsibilities regarding copyrighted materials.

Pack you picture carefully. “Sandwich” it between two pieces of corrugated cardboard (cut a little larger than the picture), and place it in a sturdy box. I don’t recommend envelopes or simple “flats” due to the risk of bending your photo. Tintypes are an exception as they are small and rigid enough. Send the package via your choice of carriers—I recommend USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Free shipping cartons may be available at your post office. Return shipping by Priority Mail will be added to the cost of the job. FedEx® Express is also available.

Send no money. I will review your picture and your order, and call or e-mail you with my evaluation of the project, as well as any questions or suggestions I might have. No work will proceed until we agree on what will be done and how much it will cost. Refer to the Price list for a guide to the cost of your order.

Click the PDF icon below to open the order form in Acrobat Reader. You may fill out the order form on your computer, then print it, or print the blank form and fill it out the old-fashioned way. Don't have Acrobat Reader? Then click here for a printer-friendly graphic version of the Order Form. Print it from your Web browser using the print command in the File menu. It will fit on one letter-size sheet of paper.
